These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Rihla mobile application and related services (the “App” or “Service”) as a driver, operated by the Publisher. The App connects independent Drivers with Riders and is operated in accordance with Islamic principles. By registering as a Driver or otherwise using the App (“Driver” or “you”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must hold a valid driver’s license and meet any other documentation, permit, or vehicle requirements the Publisher sets. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep it current, and maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You are an independent contractor, not the Publisher’s employee, agent, or partner. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship between you and the Publisher.
The following apply while a Ride is in progress:
You will treat Riders respectfully and will not engage in harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward any person using the Service.
You may not play music inside the vehicle during a Ride.
Smoking is prohibited inside the vehicle during any Ride.
You will not initiate or engage in personal conversation with Riders beyond what is reasonably necessary to complete the Ride (e.g., confirming the route or destination), and will not contact, attempt to contact, arrange to meet, or otherwise interact with any Rider outside the App for any purpose unrelated to a Ride booked through the Service.
You agree to conduct yourself in accordance with Islamic Sharia principles while using the Service. The Publisher reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or permanently remove a Driver from the Service for violation of this Section 4.
Cancelling a Ride after you have been assigned to it may result in a penalty. Repeated cancellations may result in additional penalties, temporary suspension, and, ultimately, permanent removal from the Service.
The Publisher may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms — including the Code of Conduct, Route and Drop-off, Cancellations, or Intellectual Property provisions — or for any conduct the Publisher determines, in its discretion, to be harmful to the Service or its users.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jordan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of Irbid, Jordan.
The Publisher may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the App. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
If You have any questions about these Terms of Service, You can contact the Publisher:
